Moving day preparation for Rice residents

Start with a clear inventory: the rooms being moved, larger furniture, approximate box count, and any fragile or heavy pieces. The distance from the truck to each entrance, stairs or elevators, building rules, and available parking can all affect the time needed, so include those details when planning.

Pack and label boxes before the crew arrives, and keep personal essentials separate. Make sure the crew can reach the loading area and both entrances. Let the office know if the inventory, addresses, or access details change so the plan can be updated before the appointment.
